A Unique Proposal

Many couples are currently busy planning beautiful spring and summer weddings. In less than two months, my younger sister is marrying her best friend in a lovely church ceremony. In addition to weddings, the warm weather months are also popular times in the year for girlfriends and boyfriends to propose to the special people in their lives. If you are planning an upcoming proposal, consider popping the question to your significant other at a unique location such as an art gallery. Imagine your loved one’s surprise and delight when you ask him or her to marry you in an art gallery surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful pieces of art. On this blog, you will discover the reasons an art gallery is the perfect place for a proposal.

Four Reasons To Hang More Nature Pictures In Your Home

Choosing artwork and pictures for your home can feel overwhelming. There are so many choices and so many different styles to consider. But while everyone has a different taste in artwork, there is one common theme that everyone should consider working into their decor: nature. The following are four great reasons to hang more photos, prints, and paintings depicting nature in your home.

1. Nature colors are neutral.

One issue many homeowners run into is finding that the artwork they choose no longer matches once they choose to redecorate their home. You won't have this problem with most artwork that depicts nature. The browns, greens, and blues found in most natural scenes are versatile and will coordinate as well with your new decor as they did with your old. This leaves you more money to spend on other aspects of your remodel -- you don't have to buy all new artwork.

2. Nature helps promote feelings of relaxation.

Spending time in nature can help you feel less anxious, more focused, and more grounded. However, many people do not get to spend as much time in nature as they would like. Having pictures of natural scenes in your home will allow you to feel similarly relaxed and inspired, and you won't have to go outside in cold or rainy weather to enjoy it. Especially in a bedroom, nature photos can make the whole space feel calmer and quieter.

3. Nature scenes appeal to everyone.

Everyone has a somewhat different taste in artwork, but most -- if not all -- people agree that nature scenes are nice. When you primarily hang nature-inspired work in your home, your guests will enjoy your artwork as much as you do. You do not have to worry about them being turned off or offended by your artwork; nature is never offensive.

4. Nature scenes will remind you to get outside.

Even when you're really busy, spending some time outside is good for you mentally and physically. Having pictures of nature scenes on your walls will remind you to go outside and enjoy the real thing more often. Consider hanging a picture that reminds you of a particular outdoor place you love. For example, if you love lounging by a certain pond, a picture depicting a similar pond is the perfect choice for your home.

Decorate with more nature photos, and consider looking for nature lithograph framed prints. You'll feel better, and your home will appeal to anyone who visits.
